Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)
the 3rd President of the United States, was a fervent scrapbooker. Like humanists of Renaissance period, he constituted a significant collection of press cuttings and personal notes of political and scientific nature. Some of his scrapbooks are exposed in the Monticello museum (Virginie).

the Father of Tom Sawyer had a true passion for scrapbooking, to the point of dedicating to it all his Sundays. He liked to fill his albums with pictures and press articles dedicated to his literary works.
